The sixteen mountain passes worth planning a trip around in Switzerland.
All are labeled below on a road map. Zoom in for valley-level detail. Tap a pin or a row to see the route, what to stop for, and what to pair it with.
There are also regional filters and popular drive combinations too.
Most of these passes close for winter between late October and November and reopen around June.

How to use the map
- Pick a pass: Tap a pin, or a name in the summit list, to see the drive, what to stop for and when it’s open.
- Narrow it down: Choose a region or a ready-made loop to show just those passes.
- Plan your route: Tap “Add to my route” on up to 4 passes, or “Make this loop my route”. Put them in order, then open the route in Google Maps.
- Move the map: On a phone, tap the map once, then drag it and pinch to zoom. On a computer, click the map to zoom with your scroll wheel.
