Questions Before You Buy

How do I get the guide after I buy?

You get a download link straight after purchase. Every guide is a PDF, so it opens on a phone, tablet or laptop, and you can zoom in on the maps. Nothing gets posted, and there's nothing to install.

How is this different from a normal guidebook?

Guidebooks tell you what exists. These tell you what to do on a specific day, in what order, on which train, at what cost. Most of the raw information is scattered across the internet — the difference is that it's collected, ordered and checked, and a fair amount of it comes from 24 years of living here rather than from a website.

Do you offer refunds?

Yes. If a guide is missing something or isn't what you expected, tell me what's wrong. If I can't fix it, I'll refund you.

Will the guide still be accurate for my dates?

Each guide lists the season it's built for, and the mountain guides include opening dates for the excursions, since many cable cars and cogwheel railways close for weeks at a time in spring and autumn. If you're travelling outside the listed window, check the card before buying — or ask me.

Which guide should I buy?

If it's your first trip and you're doing Interlaken and Lucerne, the 4-in-1 package covers it and costs less than the guides bought separately. If you're staying in one region, buy that region's guide. If trains are your main worry, start with the Train Travel Masterclass.

Want Me to Plan It With You Instead?

Guides do the work for you. If you'd rather have someone check your plan, or build one from scratch around your dates, I do that too.
