Gstaad is quite a luxurious town situated at 1,050 meters (3,445 feet) above sea level in the beautiful Swiss Alps and is world renowned for its epic skiing, winter sports, and amazing hiking trails that are accessible in the summer.

You might not know this, but Gstaad is almost exactly halfway between Geneva and Zurich in the canton of Bern in southwestern Switzerland, which makes it rather popular and might account for it having some of the most expensive properties in the country.

It is a stunning place to visit as there are lots of great things to do in Gstaad in both the summer and winter, plus the surrounding alpine landscapes are simply breathtaking. Not only that, but it exhibits quite a lovely architectural style with modern buildings blending seamlessly into alpine chalets.

Hotel Olden is a traditional boutique hotel with 4 stars that is in the heart of Gstaad town which makes it perfect to explore all things Gstaad has to offer. Luckily, it is also in a car-free pedestrianized zone so it is nice and quiet all of the time.

While it doesn’t have all the incredible things the luxury hotels have, this place still does a great job of ensuring you have a wonderful stay in Gstaad.

There is a lovely restaurant where you can taste some delicious traditional Swiss dishes and it also serves up great international food too. It also has a bar as well as a sauna, steam bath, and a range of other spa treatments are on offer too.

There are both rooms and suites available which are all decorated uniquely from one another, and their taste is excellent. Sadly, not all rooms come with a balcony and mountain views so be sure to request this if it is what you want.
