In Zurich there are actually only a few great places to go for a Spa or massage. And below I have collected to best spas Zurich has to offer. From panoramic views and treatments to die for, to a deep massage to unwind those tight muscles that are causing you pain. There is something for everyone!

Hürlimann Thermalbad & Spa Zurich
The Hürlimann Thermalbad & Spa is probably the best spa in Zurich. Located in an old brewery in a quiet quarter of Zurich, the vaulted ceilings that hang historically above you are a constant reminder of the past.
The highlight of the Hürlimann Spa is the infinity pool on the roof which offers unprecedented views over the city of Zurich. But that is not all these world-class Thermal Baths have to offer. There are also ancient Irish-Roman bathing techniques that you are welcome to embrace on your visit.
I love the idea of jumping between hot and cold, by superheating yourself in the spa and then plunging into a cold pool to entice your body to heal and recover. In fact, when I am not traveling, I do it once a week. And the Hürlimann Spa is one of the best locations in Zurich to do this.
They also offer a range of other services on top of the sauna, spa, and steam rooms you would expect, such as massage and detox, and a breakfast to start off your day before or after your spa ritual.

Stadtbad Hammam & Sauna Zurich
The Stadtbad Hamma & Sauna is another deeply ritualized retreat that you can spend hours immersing your self in. Inspired by the Turkish Hamman, the idea is to complete the whole experience of heating and cleansing followed by a sauna and foot spa if you wish. Pampering is the order of the day here.

I find it impressive that they also offer a wide range of supplementary services like Ayurveda, Thalasso, Facials and Massages. So, you can finish your day out in the spa on a high. So to speak!

Another great option for a day spa is LABO Spa in Zurich located right in the heart of the city, 5 minutes from Paradeplatz. This spa is all about relaxation and treating yourself, so take your girlfriends for a weekend treat or book yourself in for a birthday treat once a year. You can pamper yourself with a massage or enjoy a detox, cleanse, facial or any of the other range of treatments they have on offer.

Chiida Spa Zürich
Chiida Spa has two great locations in Zürich, one in the heart of the city, and the other in the trendy suburb of Seefeld. They also have a location in Zug and Lucerne, if you are in the area, but Zurich is their home area.
They offer traditional Thai Massage, which some people love and others find a bit too brutal. However, they also have a spa treatment, so don’t be completely put off. They offer everything from a huge variety of massage options (head, foot, full body, Thai, Sports, relaxation and more) as well as facials and hydrotherapy. So, a little something for everyone. And I love a good Sports massage to get rid of my hiking woes, so maybe I will see you there soon.
