Easiest Trains to Popular Destinations

Many of my clients ask me about the easiest way to travel between specific destinations.

For example, if you are heading straight to Lucerne from the Airport, OR want to get to Interlaken from Lucerne.

Some train connections are better than others, and it is worth knowing this before you arrive.

👉👉 PRO TIP: These are the type of expert tips I give my clients on my 1-1 calls

Lucerne To Interlaken

The Lucerne to Interlaken Ost train ride is one of the most scenic train rides many of you have to do just to get from Lucerne to Interlaken.

There are a vareity of ways to do this journey, but the direct train runs at 6 minutes past every hour.

👉👉 If you want the best seats, you should book on the right hand side of the train here.

Zurich Airport to Lucerne

Likewise, if you want to travel directly from Zurich Airport to Lucerne, ensure you take the direct train.

There are a few every hour, so be on the lookout for the “solid black line” without any dots – this indicates a non-stop train. Here is an example

Interlaken Ost to Montreux

This is another scenic route that is called the GoldenPass Express and has a direct train from Interlaken to Montreux.

In this case, you absolutely have to book a seat on the Golden Pass ahead of time, for a specific route.

👉👉 You can book your seat here.

Zurich to Lugano or Milan

One of the best ways to get down south to Italy is from Zurich or Lucerne

There are often direct trains so be on the lookout for those connections instead of ones where you have to change.

👉👉 BE AWARE the direct trains are VERY busy and seat bookings (although not normally needed in Switzerland) are a necessity on these trains. These bookings can be made on the SBB app or at the train station.
