Kangaroo Loose in Switzerland!

Just a typical day in the Swiss Alps… wait, is that a kangaroo?! 🦘🇨🇭

Now, I am from Australia, so for me it’s kinda normal. But seeing one jumping around free as a bird in Switzerland is another thing altogether!

A runaway wallaby (originally mistaken for a kangaroo) caused quite a stir recently when it was spotted casually hopping around the edge of a woodland near a youth camp in Dietwil, right between Lucerne and Lake Zug!

It turns out the little escape artist had wandered off from a licensed wallaby farm in the neighboring canton of Lucerne. Luckily, the local large animal rescue service swiftly sprang into action. They managed to safely capture the bouncing runaway and reunite it with its owner. Phew! 🌿💨
