Monkey Town is an indoor playground near the train station in Horgen, Zurich. They offer a range of jungle-themed indoor playgrounds for both toddlers (1-2 years) up to teens (up to 12).
My godchild goes there a lot. Perhaps too much, and he can spend hours in there with random kids jumping around and enjoying all the fun chutes, ropes, platforms and slides they have. It struck me as a little smaller than I had expected, although it is apparently 2000 m2, according to their website. That did not seem to bother him though, as the only thing stopping him playing was hunger!
And despite thinking my godson would be bored in an hour, we managed to spend a rainy 3 hours there, with me drinking coffee and working in the Bistro. Many a parent was there beside me, idling the afternoon away while the kids ran rampant with one another!
There is free WiFi so you can easily keep yourself entertained and they have food and drink at the bistro, although many people brought their own.
So, if you are your kids are wondering what to do in Zurich on a rainy day, give it a try! Especially if they are active and need to burn off some energy.

Other Activities
The main event is the jungle playground, but there is something for the smaller kids off to the side and there is also laser tag and escape rooms in the complex, although we did not manage to get to those.
