Where To Park in Crans Montana (The Best Options)

Crans Montana has a lot of car parks in several locations around town. Depending on your activities or the location of your accommodation you might want to select a car park that is more convenient for you. Below I will list some free and some bigger ones. Parking App

• Crans Montana also has a very useful app that gives you a real-time status on the available spaces in certain car parks.
  • Download the „Crans Montana Tourism – Absolutely“-App (Apple, Google)
  • Select „Mobilité“
  • Select „Parkings“ (tab next to resort)

Signs

• Most car parks have electronic signs, telling you how many free spaces there are left.
  • If it‘s full – the sign says “Besetzt“
  • If it’s not full – it will be either “Frei” or have a number on it

Parking Zones

• You can‘t park in the blue zones unless you have a special permit given by the local council (this is mostly for local citizens. Sometimes the owner of your accommodation might provide you with a special permit)
• Even though I haven’t read about parking areas with white lines, there might be some around. You can park in any parking area with white lines, as long as you pay at the machine, usually located close to the parking area. Or it could be that you have to put the blue parking card in front of your window. If this is the case, there will be a sign. If you are using the blue card, your parking time is usually limited to 1hr.

Free parking is a rare beast in Switzerland, but I did find some free car parks in Crans Montana. They are not always in the most convenient location, but easily reachable with shuttle buses or public transport.
