The Badener WunderDorf or Baden Christmas Market has been a yearly event in Baden for a while. It features not only a wide range of food stands and local crafts but also a great Christmas atmosphere the locals love.
The market is easy to reach from the train station, as it is right in the Baden old town in Theatreplatz.
I have been going to the Christmas Market in Baden for a few years now and try to get there at least a few times every season. The cosy atmosphere has Christmas lights and fireplaces, along with haybale seats and other places to stand.

Food Stands
The food stands in the Badener WunderDorf are also an easy place to have a bite to eat after work. The food ranges from the typical Swiss Christmas fare such as Raclette and sausages to more exotic food such as Tibetan Momos and Empanadas. I love to have a sample from as many as I can, sharing them with my partner so we can try even more.
We love to finish it all off with a hot Gluhwein and maybe even a tasty dessert like some hot Churros if we have space left!

Want To Save This For Later?
Although there is not a huge range of shops in the market, there are enough to find a few presents for family and friends while you are there. Things such as jewelry, scarves and warm beanies, to wooden toys and creative lighting. Each year is different, depending on who is running the stalls.
