LeCrans Hotel and Spa is one of the top luxury hotels in Crans-Montana and if you are looking to stay in a wonderful location with everything catered to, this might just be the Crans-Montana hotel for you.
The location of this Crans-Montana hotel is hard to beat. It sits above the town in ancient forests and therefore it is peaceful, in nature, and has some wonderful views too. You can see panoramic views of the Alps and the great lakes!
If you intend to ski, you will be happy to know that this is a ski-in, ski-out hotel that makes a day on the slopes as easy as possible.
The LeCrans Hotel and Spa are decorated in the traditional chalet-style and this gives it a warm cozy atmosphere.
It is rather an exclusive Crans-Montana hotel with not many rooms or suites on offer, so you had better book well in advance for a spot. The rooms are very luxurious, as you would expect, and super comfortable.
The hotel is also home to a Michelin-starred restaurant which you simply have to dine at. It has a wellness spa with a Turkish steam bath, a hot tub, and lots more wellness treatments are also available.
Overall it offers a very exclusive and luxurious stay in Crans-Montana with one of the best locations if you want to be out of the hustle and bustle.
Crans Ambassador
The Crans Ambassador is another of the great 5-star luxury hotels in Crans-Montana. It sits on a hill just above the town and is very close to one of the cable car stations that will take you up to the ski area in no time. You can also walk to a lot of great bars and restaurants in town from the hotel.
The views from this Crans-Montana hotel are excellent too as you can see some of the major peaks of the Valais region.
Decorated in a chic-contemporary way, the hotel and its rooms are very elegant. While staying here you can spend your time at the hotel bar, try some excellent cuisine at the onsite restaurant, sit out on the fire-lit terrace, and rejuvenate at the spa.
The spa has a lovely indoor pool with views across the Alps as well as a hammam, sauna, and fitness center. There is a large range of spa treatments available too which includes massages, facials, and body treatments using only high-quality products from the Swiss brand Valmont.
There are a range of rooms available from standard to suites. All of them are delightful and comfortable, however, the more expensive rooms come with balconies and views of the Alps.
Hotel Royal
The Hotel Royal is one of the few 5-star luxury hotels in Crans-Montana that is in the heart of the town. This Crans-Montana hotel is surrounded by great bars, and restaurants, and is a short walk from the Crans s. S. cable car station.
While the hotel is in town, it doesn’t mean that you will miss out on great views of the Alps, it has those too. However, it might not be as peaceful or in nature as the luxury hotels in Crans-Montana we looked at above.
The rooms at this hotel are super comfy with modern extras, private bathrooms, and great views of the surrounding mountains.
The hotel also has a spa & wellness center with an indoor pool, Jacuzzi, Turkish bath, sauna, and more. The views from the pool are simply to die for!
There is no restaurant at this hotel but your stay does include a wonderful breakfast. You can also hang out at the lovely bar or the onsite coffee shop which has some food on offer.
Overall, if you are looking for luxury and to be within walking distance of everything, this is one of the top Crans-Montana hotels to stay at.
Chetzeron
The Chetzeron is one of the more unique hotels in Crans-Montana as it is way up in the mountains in the ski area, 3 km from the town of Crans-Montana.
It is one of the best Crans-Montana hotels to stay in if you want to immerse yourself in the Alps and have some peace and quiet. It is also in the ski area and next to a ski lift, so your access to the slopes or summer hikes couldn’t be better.
The Chetzeron is rather unique as it is built on a former cable car station and with its altitude of 2,112 meters, the views across the Rhone Valley are insane. It was built to integrate into the alpine environment using local stone and the big windows invite the outside world in.
It also has a range of excellent facilities including a great restaurant as well as a heated outdoor pool, sauna, and hammam for you to relax in. Every single part of the hotel has incredible views, including the rooms.
Each room is super comfortable to stay in with its oak-lined interiors, warm decor, and cozy atmosphere.
Staying here is more like staying at a mountain retreat compared to the other Crans-Montana hotels we have looked at.
Hotel Art de Vivre
The Hotel Art de Vivre is one of the great 4-star hotels in Crans-Montana. It is ideally located in the town and close to a cable car station, so you can see all the area has to offer by simply walking from one place to the next.
Despite being in town, it still has lovely views of the Alps for you to gaze at which can also be seen from the rooms.
The rooms have a contemporary design to them and are very sleek with all the modern additions you would expect, and they all have private bathrooms, of course.
While staying at this hotel, be sure to take advantage of the spa area. The indoor swimming pool is great to do some relaxing laps in and after a day of tough skiing or hiking, the sauna cabin, steam bath, and outdoor Jacuzzi are sure to take those muscle aches away.
You can also book massages at the spa and there is a Pilates Studio on-site too.
If you do not feel like exploring the town, the hotel has its own fine dining restaurant and the menu is deliciously excellent, almost as good as its views. You’ll also find a lovely bar where you can relax after a long day with a well-earned drink.

Hotel Central is much more affordable than the best luxury hotels in Crans-Montana we looked at above. As you might have guessed from its name, the hotel is in the center of Crans-Montana making it very easy to explore everything the town has to offer.
You will also find a ski lift a short walk away which makes accessing the mountain slopes and trails super convenient.
This is one of the more relaxed Crans-Montana hotels and it offers rooms and apartments for you to stay in that are usually described as “laid-back” which should give you an idea.
The rooms and apartments are very comfortable and come with everything you need to enjoy your time in Crans-Montana.
There is an on-site restaurant with a broad menu to suit any palate and there is a nice bar where you can meet other travelers too.
It does not have a spa, but you can find one to relax at that is within walking distance if you need to.
Hotel La Prairie
Hotel La Prairie is one of the great medium-end Crans-Montana hotels. It is a 3-star hotel on the southern end of town on the edge of the lovely forest.
It is about 500 meters from the center of Crans-Montana so everything is within walking distance – bars, nightclubs, restaurants, shops, etc. It is a bit of a walk to the nearest cable car up the mountain though which is partly why it is more affordable.
You’ll find that it has a very cozy and welcoming atmosphere and the rooms are well-decorated and have everything you need to enjoy a comfy stay.
The bar at this hotel is renowned for being a lot of fun and whenever you are peckish, the hotel restaurant serves up a range of dishes from across the world. You will always find something your taste buds are searching for.
There is no spa at this hotel, but you are never far away from one in Crans-Montana. The views are also pretty great and you are right next to some lovely hikes in the forest.
Hotel Le Splendide
Hotel Le Splendide is one of the great Crans-Montana hotels to stay in if you are looking for affordable pricing along with a great location.
The hotel’s location offers lovely views and is just a 3-minute walk from the center of Crans-sur-Sierre and 300 or so meters from the cable car. Getting up and down the mountains could not be easier and you will find a lot of shops, bars, and restaurants just down the road too.
The hotel is actually a cozy alpine inn and exudes local charm. It is super cozy, warm, and welcoming. The rooms are very comfortable and come with a private bathroom plus other modern additions to ensure you have a nice stay.
While this cozy hotel does not have a restaurant, bar, or spa, they are all close by, however, it does serve up a delicious breakfast.
Hotel Elite
Hotel Elite is one of the popular hotels in Crans-Montana for those who do not want to spend thousands on their accommodation.
You will find it on a little side street in town and it backs onto green pastures giving you the best of both worlds; access to the town, mountain views, and being close to some nature. It is also quite close to the cable car station so you can get up to the ski slopes and hiking trails quite easily.
This is a 3-star hotel with lovely rooms that all have lovely views of the Alps. The rooms are cozy and south facing so you get a lot of light, even in the winter.
There is also an onsite restaurant that serves up traditional Swiss meals in the evening. You will love hanging out and meeting other travelers by the fire in the living room, and the apres-ski happy hours at the bar are a ton of fun too!
In the summer, be sure to take advantage of the hotel’s lovely outdoor swimming pool too.
Olympic Hotel
The Olympic Hotel is more of a fancy mid-range hotel in Crans-Montana. You will find it in the center of town and everything is within walking distance from shops to bars, restaurants, and cable cars.
This hotel is decorated in true alpine style and this makes the rooms lovely to stay in as they are rustic and cozy. All the rooms also come with modern amenities for a comfy stay.
There is a nice restaurant at this hotel that serves up some excellent European dishes. There is also a great bar in the basement which is known for its fun apres-ski parties.
You can also enjoy a lovely non-alcoholic drink on the lovely terrace and admire the views or get cozy in the living room.
Budget Hotels
Petit Paradis
Petit Paradis is a top-budget hotel in Crans-Montana and you can often find rooms here for less than $100 a night, which is a steal in Crans-Montana.
It is in the heart of Crans-Montana so everything is just a walk away including the funicular to take you up and down the mountain.
It has a range of rooms to choose from including doubles with a shared bathroom all the way up to family rooms and apartments. All of them have lovely views of the forest, park, or mountains.
The rooms have a warm feel to them as they are all lined with wood and are both spacious and comfy.
The hotel has an excellent restaurant too where you can find some excellent European cuisine, there is also a bar at the restaurant where you can have a relaxing drink too.
Hôtel Restaurant le Mont Paisible
Hôtel Restaurant le Mont Paisible is another favorite budget hotel in Crans-Montana. Its location just out of town ensures peace and quiet, and it backs onto a lovely forest too. You can walk to the cable car station easily but getting into town might take 10-15 minutes on foot.
This is a 3-star hotel that comes with loved rooms all of which have balconies that overlook the stunning Swiss Alps.
The hotel also has a sauna where you can relax and soothe those muscles after a long day in the mountains skiing or hiking.
If you don’t fancy the walk into town, the hotel’s bar is a great place to have a drink and meet other travelers, and the restaurant has a large range of excellent dishes for you to choose from.
The prices at this hotel in Crans-Montana are some of the most affordable in town and you will be able to stay here for close to $100 a night. This might not sound like a bargain to you but in Switzerland and Crans-Montana in particular, it is!
