Verbier is a stunning mountain resort in the Swiss Alps that you have probably heard of, especially if you ski as it is known as one of the best off-piste ski resorts on the planet.
Sitting on a south-facing valley overlooking the Grand Combin massif in Val de Bagnes in the Swiss canton of Valais, it is a paradise for skiers in winter and hikers in summer.
Verbier is one of the most popular ski resorts in the world and to give you a sense of just how popular it is, here are some stats. Verbier has a resident population of just 3,000 people and this jumps to around 35,000 with tourism, see what I mean?
It is a large town for a ski resort and it is a ton of fun when it comes to the Apres-ski scene. There are more than 80 lifts to get you up onto the slopes and in the summer the lifts are used to take hikers up to some of the stunning trails that Verbier is known for.
Whether you are visiting Verbier for skiing in the winter or hiking in the summer, you are going to need somewhere to stay. So, what are the best hotels in Verbier? That is what I am here to help with.

5-Star Luxury Hotels
W Verbier
W Verbier is one of the best luxury hotels in Verbier and along with the incredible things on offer during your stay, its location is pretty incredible.
Sitting in the center of Verbier, the hotel is actually spread out across 6 different chalets in Place Blanche. You will be within walking distance of all the great things Verbier has to offer and it is right next to the Verbier Cable Car – you can’t beat ski-to-door access!
When booking this luxury hotel, you have the choice of a range of rooms, suites, and even private residences. They are all beautifully decorated and feature both a fireplace and a private balcony. However, not all of them have mountain views so be sure to request this.
You’ll find a fully equipped spa at the hotel where you can relax and pick from an excellent menu of treatments, and there is an indoor pool and outdoor swimming pool for you to use plus a fitness center.
It doesn’t end there either. Start every day with a delicious complimentary breakfast and then choose to dine at the hotel’s sushi bar, Eat Hola tapas bar, or enjoy some fine dining at W Kitchen Restaurant which serves up excellent Swiss and Mediterranean dinners.
To top it all off, there are also two hotel bars where you can enjoy a drink or a delicious cocktail after a long day.
Chalet d’Adrien
Chalet d’Adrien is also one of the best luxury hotels in Verbier and what I love about it is that no matter what room or suite you book, all of them have a balcony or terrace with a view of the mountains or the valley.
You’ll find this luxury hotel on the northern end of Verbier right next to a cable car and within walking distance of most things in Verbier. You couldn’t find a better place to explore the town and the ski slopes from.
The hotel also has an onsite spa where you can book a massage, facial, body treatment, and lots more.
There is also a restaurant at the hotel which is an excellent place to try some traditional Swiss dishes and a lovely bar with a great wine and cocktail menu.
It is safe to say that you will have a wonderful stay at this Verbier hotel!
4-Star Hotels
Experimental Chalet
Experimental Chalet is another of the great luxury hotels in Verbier for you to choose from. It is one of the small luxury hotels and with 4-stars doesn’t have the level of luxury as others, but the hotel is still pretty incredible to stay at.
Sitting in the heart of Verbier, everything you could want from restaurants to shops, bars, and ski lifts are within walking distance.
You can choose to book a room or a suite, some of which come with terraces, jacuzzis, and/or panoramic views of the mountains if you really want to push the boat out! All the rooms are delightful, comfortable and come with all the modern additions you might want.
The views from the hotel are also pretty awesome as you can see the surrounding Alps including Mont Combin.
Be sure to dine at the hotel restaurant run by renowned chef Gregory Marchand, the meals are spectacular and everything is made with local ingredients. Stopping in at the hotel’s signature cocktail bar, which is run by the Paris-based Experimental Group is also a must.
After a long day of hiking or skiing, you can book in a range of treatments from massages to facials at the hotel spa so you are ready for some more mountain action the next day.
Cordee des Alpes
Cordee des Alpes is one of the few luxury Verbier hotels to offer guest rooms, suites, and high-end apartments for you to book, ideal if you are traveling with friends and/or family. Some of them have views of the surrounding Alps, so be sure to book one of these for the full Verbier experience.
Sitting in the middle of the town, pretty much everything is just a short walk away. This includes the lifts to the ski slopes as well as great restaurants, bars, shops, and more.
The hotel comes with a lovely spa where you can choose from a large treatment menu and there is an indoor pool to relax in or do some laps too.
As well as the spa, the hotel has an excellent restaurant that is rather popular so be sure to reserve a table. It is a chic brasserie restaurant with a diverse menu that is made from local ingredients.
You also have the option to hang out at the hotel bar which is a great place to meet other travelers and sample great wines or cocktails.
Hotel de Verbier
Hotel de Verbier, aka Hotel Verbier, is another of the great hotels in Verbier if you are looking for a bit of luxury during your stay. Sitting in the center of town you are a quick walk away from most things in Verbier and this includes the cable cars that take you up and down the mountains.
The hotel has a cool chalet-style to it so you are getting the full Swiss Alps experience while staying here. You can choose from a range of rooms, studios, and suites to stay at during your visit, all of which are decorated to the highest of standards and are super comfortable.
Some of the rooms come with their own private balconies with stunning mountain views too.
Be sure to hit up the spa and wellness center which offers a huge range of treatments as well as a sauna and hot tub where you can relax after a long day!
The onsite restaurant La Nonna makes delicious Italian dishes all day long, so be sure to stop in here for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. There is also a bar where you can have a drink after a long day on the slopes plus a snack bar if you get peckish.

Hotel Bristol Verbier

Hotel Bristol Verbier is one of the best mid-range hotels in Verbier that is actually quite affordable while having a great location in the middle of town. Most of what Verbier has to offer from fun bars to ski lifts is a short walk away.
Hotel Bristol Verbier is a 3-star hotel so it doesn’t quite have all the facilities of the others we have looked at, but nevertheless is a lovely place to stay.
The rooms and suites are all decorated in a lovely way plus are cozy and comfy for a wonderful stay. A few of the rooms even come with views across the valley and mountain peaks.
The hotel doesn’t have a spa, but it does have a sauna where you can relax after a long day. If you are looking for some spa treatments, you will only be a walk away from one in Verbier.
All bookings come with a delicious breakfast each morning. There is no restaurant at the hotel but there are two right outside the hotel and lots within walking distance.
The hotel does, however, have a fun bar where you can have a drink and meet some fellow travelers after a long day on the slopes.
Hotel Montpelier
Hotel Montpelier is one of the great hotels in Verbier to stay in if you are on a bit of a budget. It is affordable and comfortable, and while being a little way out of town compared to the others, you can still walk to most things.
A great thing about its location is the wonderful views of the surrounding mountains and it is more peaceful than being in the center.
The hotel has quite a range of guest rooms for you to choose from, running from singles to quadruples for families and groups. Some of the rooms have excellent views too!
There is no spa at this hotel, as you would expect based on the affordable prices, but it does have a restaurant and a bar. Both have a cozy alpine style to them and the restaurant menu is pretty diverse with dishes for all tastes, and all are made with local ingredients.
Hotel Farinet
Hotel Farinet, aka Le Farinet Verbier, is a boutique hotel in the middle of Verbier and is one of the more expensive mid-range Verbier hotels.
Sitting in the center of town, everything is a walk away from restaurants to spas, and cable cars too. There are also great views of the Petit Combin Mountain which you will see from your private balcony if you book one of the more expensive rooms.
If you are looking to party while in Verbier, this hotel is for you. Not only does it have a fun Apres Ski bar but it also has a lounge bar where live DJs perform on a regular basis – better than having a swimming pool in my opinion.
The hotel does not have a restaurant, however, there are plenty to choose from within a 5-minute walk. The hotel does serve up a delicious breakfast every morning though!
Other things on offer include a full concierge service and massages can be booked at reception.
Hotel de la Poste
Hotel de la Poste is a great 3-star hotel in Verbier in the heart of the town. For a mid-range hotel, it has a lot of great facilities including a heated indoor swimming pool and sauna for you to use whenever you like.
All the rooms and suites are incredibly comfortable and come with their own spacious private bathroom, some of them have lovely mountain views too.
You will have direct access to the Verbier cable car and you can easily walk to all the top bars, restaurants, and clubs in town.
If you want a chilled night in, you can also head to the hotel’s restaurant and bar for a delicious locally sourced meal and some great cocktails.
Hotel Les Chamois
Hotel Les Chamois is one of the best hotels in Verier if you are looking for somewhere affordable but comfortable to stay that is also in a great location.
The hotel is in the middle of Verbier which means easy and quick access to the cable cars that take you up the mountain as well as shops, restaurants, bars, and spas.
The rooms are spacious, comfortable, and all come with their own private bathroom. You can choose from singles to triples and family rooms too.
You’ll also find a great restaurant that serves up local dishes with local ingredients as well as a cozy bar.
Budget Hotels
MAP Verbier-Village
MAP Verbier-Village is the place to stay if you are traveling on a serious budget, as this is a hostel in Verbier, not a hotel. It is incredibly affordable, and comfortable, and you can get some serious savings if you book a bed in the dorms. Private rooms are also available if dorms are not quite your style though.
It is a little way out from the center but you can still walk to everything and there is a bus stop close by if you don’t fancy the stroll.
No 8 Bed & Bar
No 8 Bed & Bar is a fancier budget option in Verbier. It is more of a mid-range 3-star hotel but one of the most affordable.
It comes with a surprisingly large list of facilities that includes a spa and indoor pool. I am not sure why it is so affordable and keep an eye as this could change in the near future.
The rooms are very cozy, well furnished, all come with a private bathroom and some even have great views of the surrounding mountains.
