Davos, as I am sure you know, is a world-renowned alpine resort in the Swiss Alps. Sitting at an altitude of 1,560 meters (5, 210 ft), it is a great place for skiing in the winter and hiking in the summer, along with other great activities too – there are a ton of great things to do in Davos.

Its history dates back to the 12th century when it was home to Romansh-speaking people. It was first made famous in the tourism industry in the late 1800s and then later as a world-class ski resort.

Sitting in the Landwasser Valley in the Graubünden canton in eastern Switzerland, it is a stunning alpine retreat. The Landwasser River flows through the town, Lake Davos is at the end of the road, and it is surrounded by beautiful mountain peaks.

The InterContinental Davos, also known as the AlpenGold Hotel, has one of the best locations of luxury hotels in Davos in my opinion. It is tucked away out of town next to Lake Davos on its own grounds and is surrounded by forest giving you excellent access to nature. The views across the lake and with the mountains in the background are to die for!

It is a bit of a walk from the hotel to the center of town, 1 hour to be exact, but you can access the northern end of Davos in about 20 minutes. The hotel also provides a shuttle service to and from town and to the cable cars, so there is no need to walk unless you want to.

All the rooms are stunningly furnished to the highest standards and come with mountain views too. You can’t ask for much more!

There is an indoor pool and outdoor swimming pool at the hotel along with a spa with 14 treatment rooms that offer yoga along with lots of other treatments. There is also a sauna and hammam to relax in.

You’ll also find two restaurants and a lovely bar. Restaurant Atrium is all about delicious international cuisine and classic Grisons specialties while La Muña has gourmet dishes with a breathtaking view of the mountains.

It is a 4-star superior hotel that dates back to 1911, so you will be staying in one of the historical hotels in Davos. It has, of course, been updated with all the modern things needed for a great stay.

This is one of the Davos hotels that is kitted out with everything you need to relax and refresh your muscles after a long day out in the mountains. Hotel Edelweiss is one of the loveliest family-run hotels in Davos and having 3-stars it is a more affordable Davos hotel compared to the ones we have looked at so far.

This Davos hotel has a central location in the heart of town so a lot of things are within walking distance. It also offers free parking to its guests and the bus stops just next to it which makes exploring the whole of Davos very easy.

It has some lovely views looking down the valley too, which some rooms are lucky enough to have too.

The rooms and suites are comfortable, cozy, and have an elegant alpine style to them. Book one of the few with a balcony so you can enjoy the views.

As it is not a luxury hotel it does not have a spa but it does have a great restaurant and bar that serves up excellent cocktails and excellent traditional food from the region.

Hotel Alpina is not a Davos hotel per-se, it is actually located in Davos Klosters, which is also a lovely part of Davos to stay in. This is a very affordable mid-range hotel to stay in, ideal if you want to spend less on your accommodation.

It is very close to the train station, within walking distance to lots of great bars and restaurants, and the ski lifts are not far away either.

The hotel has a true alpine style to it and is housed in numerous different chalets next to each other. It has lovely views of the surrounding mountains of the Prättigau valley and some rooms have a balcony so you can enjoy this view to the max.

Hotel Concordia is a delightful family-run Davos hotel that is just a 15-20 minute walk from the Davos Platz cable car station and a 5-minute walk from the Parsennbahn cable car. Being in the middle of Davos, you will also be ideally located to explore all it has to offer during your stay.

It is an affordable 3-star hotel in Davos and while it doesn’t have luxurious rooms, it does have very comfortable and cozy ones. The views from the hotel are also quite lovely!

It also has a great restaurant and a lovely bar and offers all guests free parking during their stay. It is a great hotel in Davos to stay in if you want affordable pricing with a great location.

Bernina Bed And Breakfast is an excellent hotel in Davos for anyone on a budget. It has a quiet yet central location at the southern end of town. You can easily walk to various cable cars as well as lots of lovely bars and restaurants.

The rooms are excellent at this hotel in Davos. They come with comfy beds, and a private bathroom, and are both cozy and spacious.

Every morning the hotel serves up an excellent breakfast, however, there is no hotel restaurant or bar so you will have to head out for lunch, dinner, and drinks.

The Casanna Hotel, aka Hotel Casanna, is a bit of a luxurious budget hotel in Davos. It has a great location in the center and is a walk away from most things you might need during your stay.

Almost all the rooms come with a south-facing balcony that gives you your own little private view of the Alps. They are spacious, and cozy, have a lovely interior, and are very comfortable to stay in.

There is no restaurant or bar at this hotel in Davos but you can find plenty within walking distance. It does, however, serve up a mean breakfast buffet each morning which is included in your star.

It is an excellent choice if you want a no-fuss, affordable Davos hotel in a great location.
