Imagine this:
You’re in Switzerland, soaking up the stunning landscapes, savoring every magical moment of your dream vacation.
Of course, you want to share the beauty with friends and family back home. So, you send a few photos every day throughout your trip.
Enter Rene Remund
That’s exactly what Rene Remund did. He is a Floridian with Swiss roots, and recently went back to Switzerland to share his memories and childhood with his wife.

They met up with old friends, reconnected with family, and relived the enchanting scenery of Rene’s homeland. Every snapshot sent back to Florida was a piece of this unforgettable experience, something to be shared with loved ones back home.

Then Came The Bill

But upon returning home, Rene faced an unexpected twist that was anything but a fond memory of his trip—a staggering $143,442 phone bill from T-Mobile! It seemed the price tag on his collection of Swiss memories was a bit higher than anticipated.
Rene says that he visited a T-Mobile store to advise them of his travel plans. He’s also been a T-Mobile customer for nearly 30 years.
“They said you’re covered. Whatever that meant. You’re covered,” Rene said.

- Check with your mobile carrier to see if you are covered
- Consider adding a roaming plan for Switzerland
- OR even better, consider an ESIM with data which can be way cheaper!
