5 Star Luxury Hotels
Grand Hotel des Bains Kempinski
The Grand Hotel des Bains Kempinski is one of the luxury hotels in St Moritz and the perfect place to stay if you are looking for a 5-star experience.
Sitting on the southern end of St Moritz just outside of town amongst beautiful grounds, it has a very peaceful setting.
You can choose to book a range of rooms as well as suites and even private residences, all of which have amazing views and are furnished to incredibly high standards.
The hotel also has a lot of excellent facilities for you to use including its Alpine Spa with a huge range of wellness treatments. The spa also has a sauna, indoor swimming pool, and gym for you to use at your leisure.
There is a great hotel restaurant that serves up excellent international dishes, and be sure to sit out on the terrace so you can enjoy some incredible mountain views with your meal. After your dinner, you can head to the cozy bar and try one of the many delicious cocktails on offer.

Carlton Hotel St. Moritz
The Carlton Hotel St. Moritz sits a walk away from both St Moritz train station and Lake St Moritz and is ideally located to explore the town and access the cable cars that take you up into the mountains.
This is one of the great 5-star luxury hotels in St Moritz and has a range of stunningly designed rooms and suites for you to choose from, all of which come with everything you could need. Sadly, only some of the rooms have mountain views so be sure to ask for one of these when you book.
The hotel has all you could want to have an incredible stay in St Moritz. Take a load off in the spa and wellness center’s sauna and steam bath, book a range of treatments, do laps in the indoor pool, or hit the fitness center for a workout.
It is also home to a lovely fine-dining restaurant and a fun bar with some delicious cocktails. If you are looking for luxury in a central location, this is a great hotel in St Moritz to stay in.
Kulm Hotel
The Kulm Hotel is a pretty spectacular 5-star hotel in the center of town with amazing views of the surrounding mountains and it is within walking distance of all the great things to see in St Moritz town.
This hotel really pushes the boat out when it comes to drinks and dining. It has a total of 6 restaurants serving up everything from fine dining to sushi and excellent pizza. There are also 4 bars and one not to miss is the Altitude Bar with its incredible views across the Engadine Valley.
During your stay, be sure to take advantage of the spa. It has an indoor pool as well as a sauna, steam bath, and fitness center for you to use. You can also book from a huge treatment menu and choose to join daily Pilates and yoga classes during your stay.
It goes without saying that the rooms and suites at this hotel are immaculately furnished and come with all the perks you would expect. The more expensive rooms even have their own living room and mountain views.
Badrutt’s Palace Hotel
Badrutt’s Palace Hotel is in the heart of St Moritz and has panoramic views over the Engadine Alps and Lake St. Moritz. It is a stunning place to stay and being a 5-star hotel comes with all the luxuries you would expect.
You can choose from a range of rooms and suites to stay in all of which are beautiful and some have great views too. You can even request a butler service if you want to take your stay to the max.
It is one of the ski-in/ski-out hotels. The hotel also has a great spa with all the facilities you would expect, along with an indoor pool and fitness center.
There are 6 restaurants at this hotel, yes 6! You have the choice of having cuisines from all over the world and traditional Swiss cuisine whenever you like.
This is probably the top luxury hotel in St Moritz.
Suvretta House
Suvretta House is a luxurious 5-star hotel a little ways outside of St Moritz and slightly up the mountain. Sitting next to a cable car station, it is ideal for accessing the slope and summer trails, plus there is a shuttle service to take you into St Moritz.
You can choose from rooms or suites during your stay, all of which are beautifully decorated. The views from some of the rooms are hard to beat!
Make sure you take advantage of the hotel’s brilliant spa as it has an excellent menu of treatments and there is nothing like using the pool, sauna, or steam room after a long day.
This is one of the few hotels in St Moritz with ski-in/ski-out access and a children’s club. It also has 3 restaurants and three lounges/bars for you to dine in and have a refreshing cocktail.
4-Star Hotels (Mid-Range)
Art Boutique Hotel Monopol
The Art Boutique Hotel Monopol is a 4-star hotel in the heart of St Moritz. You couldn’t be better placed to explore everything this mountain town has to offer, as it is all pretty much within walking distance.

The Chantarella funicular, which takes you to the Corviglia mountain area is also just a 2-minute walk away which makes accessing its ski slopes and summer trails very easy.
All the rooms you might stay in are super spacious and beautifully decorated, some even have excellent views of the surrounding landscapes.
The hotel also has a rooftop spa and wellness area with awesome views across Lake St Moritz. Choose from various treatments, saunas, hot tubes, and massage jets to relax and rejuvenate after a long day in the mountains.
Be sure to spend some time on the lively St. Moritz Sky Bar at the hotel and if you want a quiet drink, head to the more relaxed and cozy lobby bar.

Hotel Schweizerhof
Hotel Schweizerhof is a 4-star hotel and is another lovely place to stay during your time in St Moritz. It is a stone’s throw away from Lake St Moritz and everything from shops to bars and the ski lifts are close by.
The rooms are very comfortable and elegantly furnished and come with everything you need to have a comfortable stay. If you want a mountain view with your room, be sure to request this as not all of them come with this.
While staying at the hotel, make sure you take advantage of the gym, indoor pool, and spa treatments on offer. You can also relax in the sauna or steam bath after a long day.
If you don’t feel like venturing out, you can have a lovely traditional Swiss or international meal at the hotel’s restaurant and there is a nice bar to have a drink at too.
3-Star Hotels
Hotel Chesa Spuondas
Hotel Chesa Spuondas is a little bit outside of the city center, 2.5 km to be exact, in Suvretta but this does mean it has a more peaceful setting, and it is close to some cable car stations too.
This is a 3-star hotel and therefore is a lot more affordable than some of the others we have looked at making it ideal if you are on a bit of a budget.
The rooms are all lovely and come with all you need along with little touches like bathrobes and slippers. Some of them have mountain views so be sure to request this when booking.
There is no spa onsite, but you are never far from one in St Moritz. There is a restaurant, however, so if you are looking for a quiet night in after a long day, you do not need to leave the hotel.
Surrounded by alpine meadows, and forest, and with great views, this is an ideal place to stay if you want some peace from the busy town or if you are on a budget.
Giardino Mountain
Giardino Mountain is a very luxurious 5-star hotel in the village of Champfèr, 3 miles or so from St Moritz. Champfèr is a lovely little village to explore and the hotel runs a 24-hour shuttle service into St Moritz so that you can have the best of both worlds.
All the rooms at this hotel are stunning and feature an alpine style plus all of them come with their own state-of-the-art bathroom plus a balcony with excellent views.
The hotel has a lovely spa where you can relax in the steam bath, sauna, and indoor pool, and order from a range of treatments.
It also has a wonderful gourmet restaurant that focuses on a blend of Ayurveda-based dishes with a mix of Asian, Oriental, and local influences added into the fusion.
Or, if you fancy something more traditional, head to the other restaurant which specializes in delicious local Engadine cuisine. There is also a bar where you can relax with a drink and take in the excellent views that come with the hotel’s location.
Hotel Steffani
Hotel Steffani is a 4-star hotel in the middle of St Moritz town very close to the funicular, shops, bars, restaurants, and everything else St Mortiz has to offer.
All the rooms and suites at this St Moritz hotel are furnished with local materials and have a very genuine alpine style to them as you would expect.
While the hotel does not have a spa, it does have a great bar and three restaurants, each of which focuses on a different cuisine – Chinese, Swiss, and Italian.
The views from the hotel are rather spectacular, like most St Moritz hotels and it has a shuttle service you can use whenever you need.
Hotel Nolda
Hotel Nolda is a great place to stay in St Moritz if you are looking for somewhere more affordable. It is a 3-star hotel on the edge of St Moritz very close to a funicular and lots of shops, bars, and restaurants.
Being a 3-star hotel, it does not have a spa but there is a lovely restaurant and bar where you can have a great meal and cocktail during your stay.
Other services include shuttle service, there is also a lovely terrace with excellent views, and the modern country-house style along with cozy rooms make it a lovely place to stay.
Hotel Waldhaus am See
Hotel Waldhaus am See is right on the shores of Lake St Moritz giving you unparalleled views and excellent access to the lake for swims and watersports during the summer. It is also within walking distance of a lot of the great things St Mortiz has to offer.
This is a rather expensive 3-star hotel due to the location but you do get stunning views, tastefully furnished spacious rooms, and there is an excellent spa, restaurant, and bar at the hotel too.
