Luggage Storage Companies in Grindelwald
Unfortunately, none of the big luggage storage companies have opened anything in Grindelwald yet. But if you are in Interlaken, then I recommend you check out the 3 options from Bounce. Otherwise, your best bet is to leave your luggage in a locker at the train station (scroll down for more details).
Grindelwald Train Station Luggage Storage
Storing your luggage in an SBB train station luggage locker is a tried and true option for many a traveler. I can’t count the number of times I have put a few coins in their lockers and then headed off to enjoy my day instead of worrying about my luggage.
Luggage Lockers
Grindelwald train station has 20 smaller-sized lockers where you can store your luggage for up to 72 hours.
They are blue and located on the wall facing the street on the main train station building, as seen in the image above. Instructions are on the locker doors, so be sure to read them when you are there.
They might suit small to medium-sized suitcases or backpacks. But if you have something larger, their left luggage counter might be a better option.

Interlaken Ost has larger luggage lockers if you are passing through there. And their left luggage counter is open slightly longer.
Left Luggage Service
the Grindelwald SBB train station has a left luggage service on the left-hand side as you enter the main building. Note that it is open during the day only.
According to the SBB website, below are their opening times and rates.
- Opening Hours: 7 days a week, 8 am – 6 pm
- Cost: CHF 12 per piece per day
- Restrictions: Maximum weight 25 kg (55 lbs)
Luggage Storage at Grindelwald Hotels
Another option to always consider is just asking your hotel if they offer this service. Most will store your bags for free until you are ready to leave. The only thing to consider is that their desk needs to be manned in order to pick up your bag. So, if you are leaving very early or coming back very late then the locker option at the train station is often the best bet.
