The Sigriswil Panoramic Bridge offers jaw-dropping views of Lake Thun as well as the Bernese Oberland classic peaks of Eiger, Mönch, and Jungfrau. Hanging directly over the 182m deep Gummischlucht gorge, this 340 m long suspension bridge is part of the longer Lake Thun Panoramic Circuit. However, you can also do it as a day hike as well.

Getting To The Sigriswil Panoramic Bridge

The best way to enjoy this suspension bridge is to do a short walk from Sigriswil. Depending on if you arrive by train or by car, the walk itself can be very short.

The bridge actually crosses the small gorge between two villages, Sigriswil and Aeschlen. So, you have two choices in terms of which side you start on.

Parking

There is a car park right by the panoramic suspension bridge itself in Sigriswil, you can see it on Google Maps. You can also drive to the other side in Aeschlen, however, there are fewer official parking options here.

Public Transport

There are public buses from Interlaken or Thun to the town of Guten, which is a short walk from the suspension bridge.

  • From Thun Bahnhof: Take Bus 21 or 25 to Gunten Dorf (takes 21-25 minutes)
  • From Interlaken Ost: Take Bus 21 to Gunten Dorf bus stop (43 minutes)

To figure out the exact schedule from your location you have to use the SBB website.
