If you want to travel a lot by train in Switzerland, it is going to cost you a pretty penny. Especially if you are covering long distances at a time.

However, there are a few ways to save money using the various Swiss train passes available.

Swiss day passes for the train are one such way to save a fortune on travel. You pay only once and can travel as much as you want across Switzerland in one day.

So, which Swiss Day Pass should you get?

Day Pass

Travel wherever you want in Switzerland in one day on your class of choice using the SBB Day Pass. Here are the most important points:

• You must have a Half Fare travel pass
• Choose first or second class
• Choose your date of travel
• Use all Swiss public transport
• Does not include the majority of Swiss mountain railways or cablecars

Saver Day Pass

The Saver Day Pass is similar only you have to buy it as early as possible to save.
